What is an eTicket?
You can book online and travel using an electronic ticket rather than a paper ticket – so there’s no need to queue when you get to the station.
eTickets are designed for use on Gatwick Express services which arrive at stations or platforms with barcode readers. Intermediate stations between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport are not equipped with barcode readers.
Once your booking has been completed your ticket will be sent to you via email as a PDF. You can use a mobile device to present your ticket for inspection or to pass through a gateline. Alternatively, you can print your ticket using plain white A4 paper
When will I receive my eTicket?
What if my eTicket hasn't arrived after 24 hours?
We suggest you check your spam/junk folder first. You can add email@example.com as an email contact to stop this happening.
If you still don't have your ticket please give us a call on 0345 850 1530 and we can help.
We're making improvements to our eTickets so you'll be able to access them anytime from your 'my account' section and they'll automatically download to your ticket wallet on your smartphone.
Where do you operate?
The Gatwick Express is a non-stop train between London Victoria, which is in the heart of Central London, and London Gatwick Airport.
Do I need a ticket to travel?
Yes, you’ll need a valid ticket (or permit to travel) to travel on our trains. If you travel on a train without a ticket, you’ll be asked to pay the full single or return fare or, may be given a penalty fare.
How do I buy tickets?
You can buy rail tickets with our online ticket booking system, from a ticket vending machine or at a ticket office at your local station. If you buy online you won’t pay a booking fee and delivery is free.
Can I use my Oyster card on your trains?
You can use Oyster Travelcard season tickets on our trains for journeys within the valid zones. You can also use Oyster pay as you go (PAYG) within the travelcard zone area.
How can I plan my journey?

Can I travel earlier or later than booked?
If you need to travel earlier or later than planned there's no need to worry. Anytime Day Return tickets give you complete flexibility around when you travel from London Victoria and Gatwick Airport and back, provided it's on the same day.
If you’ve booked an off peak ticket your travel plans can still be flexible. Off-Peak tickets are valid for travel on trains that arrive into London Victoria after 09:50 on weekdays and there are no time restrictions if you’re travelling from Victoria towards the airport. There is no restriction anytime on weekends and bank holidays.
